Montgomery, Alabama.  July 14, 2017.  Lowder New Homes will begin building 55 new homes at Bristol Park Place located in New Park, a residential planned unit development by Jim Wilson & Associates, LLC in east Montgomery, Alabama. Dan Swift, president of BSB Design, and Senior Partner Stephen Moore built a process to design for what the firm calls a Thoughtful House.  Swift commented, “We have taken a fresh look at both existing designs and living style trends to develop plans that have spaces that are easy, relaxing and rejuvenating while being accessible, flexible and convenient to those that live in the home.”  Jimmy Rutland, president of Lowder New Homes, said, “Our new floor plans and elevations in New Park will reflect the ‘Thoughtful House’ concept with features like a private owner’s entrance, laundry rooms accessible from multiple entry points, chef inspired kitchen-centric plans, flexible spaces, deeper and bigger garages, and the always needed additional storage spaces.”  Rutland says the exterior of the homes “will vary in style from the traditional to craftsman to modern farmhouse.” Some of the exterior architectural elements will include board and batten, stone, cedar shake, prairie grid style windows, metal roofs, and front porches.

Floor plans will be available for homebuyers at the Lowder Parade home, 9230 Sheraton Park Way, in New Park during the Greater Montgomery Home Builders Association 2017 Parade of Homes on the weekend of July 15th and 16th and at the New Park Sales and Information Office, 9430 Park Crossing.   Construction of these new plans will begin this month with move-in dates in the Fall.

Local Business to Donate $20,000 to Park Crossing High School

Donation is the first in a five-year $100,000 challenge for two schools

Montgomery, Alabama.  May 5, 2016.  – Jim Wilson and Associates presented a fundraising challenge to Park Crossing High School – agreeing to match funds raised during the school year up to $20,000. The school accepted the challenge and, through a series of events, raised more than $45,000. Representatives from the Wilson company will present a check to the school on Friday, May 6, 2016, during Senior Honor Day at the school.

“We are thrilled,” said Park Crossing Principal Tracy Hubbert. “Even though we are a new school, we have so many things that need attention. This donation will go a long way to help us provide more services to our students. We are so very grateful to the Wilsons.”

Hubbert says the funds will be used, in part, for much needed portable laptop cart that will include 25 to 30 laptops and can be used by all students and teachers in the classroom.

The $20,000 donation is the first in a five year, $100,000 challenge to Park Crossing High School. The Wilson company has also offered the same challenge to James W. Wilson Elementary School and has already presented a check in the amount of $20,000 in May 2015.

“Anytime we can encourage education and the physical well-being of our students we should do so, and this commitment and contribution to Wilson Elementary is a great way to do both,” said Wilson. The Next Great Americans Bus Tour with Libby Liberty™ had an amazing experience visiting the students from Wilson Elementary School’s earlier this month!  More than 100 fifth graders left the event feeling empowered – and ready to learn civics, character, finances and social studies during the Super Citizen Program.
